We were proud to achieve ISO 14001 accreditation in 2011. Alongside our carbon neutral status you can be assured that we are a supplier that cares about the environment.

 

We know many of our customers want to make a similar effort so we’ve crammed lots of products into our 2012 Office Catalogue which meet stringent ethical standards. Alongside the products highlighted in green in this catalogue you will find the following symbols. Here’s a little explanation of what each symbol means:

FSC – Trademark of the Forest Stewardship Council: an international non-profit association established to improve the management and prevent the degradation of the World’s precious forests. Paper products with this symbol are sourced from forests managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards.


Organic – Any products with this symbol are made completely from a natural product and conform to a set of production standards for growing, storage, processing, packaging and shipping. These include: avoidance of synthetic chemical inputs, using farmland/plantations that have been free from chemicals for a number of years and strict physical separation of
organic products from non-certified products.


Fairtrade – The Fairtrade Mark is awarded to products which meet international Fairtrade standards. It guarantees that excluded and disadvantaged producers in lesser developed countries get a better deal by ensuring farmers get a fair price and workers a fair wage with an additional premium to invest in community development.


Biodegradable – This symbol refers to products which can be degraded into organic matter by naturally-occurring microorganisms and leave no substances behind which are harmful to the natural environment.


Recycled Content – We don’t consider anything to be an eco product unless it is manufactured from more than 50% recycled content. Recycling is a good way to reuse and reduce waste that would otherwise end up in landfill.

Eco Everyday Paper
Go green with RED BOX Eco Everyday Paper, at 75gsm it uses less pulp & less energy during manufacture, meaning less environmental impact. The paper is ideal for everyday use, has superior whiteness and comes with accreditation from the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

 

RED BOX Premier Colour Copy Paper is a superior quality sheet of paper available in 100gsm that comes with accreditation from the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). With the environment in mind, the paper is supplied in a 100% recyclable paper wrap. 

 

Functionality meets sustainability in these notes. Made from 100% post-consumer waste. Unlike traditional notes which are individually wrapped in plastic, these come in an eco-efficient bulk dispenser made from recycled cardboard that hasn't been bleached or dyed. Available in pastel yellow and pastel colours.

  

The first range of pens made using recycled plastics. This environmentally-friendly range of pens is produced from as much as 93.3% recycled plastic. Every single pen in the Pilot range has a BeGreen alternative.

 

 

 

Black n' Red Recycled Books

The recycled version of the high quality writing books. The books are available in various formats including casebound, hardback, wirebound and polypropylene wirebound with elasticated closure. Made from a minimum of 90% recycled content each book contains conversion tables and contents page on high quality smooth 90gsm paper.
